The ground rules for using Hot Wheels Market as a collector. These terms keep the marketplace honest, exact, and fair for everyone.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
These terms govern your use of Hot Wheels Market. By creating an account or using the marketplace, you agree to these terms, the marketplace policies, and the privacy notice. The private beta is for adults who can legally enter an agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The marketplace and its limits
Hot Wheels Market provides catalogue, listing, auction, offer, ISO, fulfilment, moderation, and price-observation tools. It connects collectors but is not the seller of listed goods, a courier, an insurer, an escrow provider, a payment processor, or a guarantor of a transaction. Each buyer and seller is responsible for assessing the other party and agreeing a lawful arrangement.
3. Catalogue identity, listings, and content
Catalogue identity (casting → release → variant) is the reference for every listing, auction, offer, and price check. Listing an item represents that it is the selected variant and that the seller has the right to offer it. Carded and uncarded describe packaging state, not condition. Sellers must describe condition, photos, quantity, price, shipping expectations, and defects honestly. Users are responsible for the text and images they submit and must have the necessary rights to use them.
4. Offers, auctions, and ISO
Offers, auction bids, ISO responses, and price estimates are recorded through explicit state machines. Submit an offer or bid only when you intend to proceed on the displayed terms. The platform determines auction timing, ordering, and state. Withdrawals, cancellations, fallbacks, and expirations are available only where the platform permits them. The platform record does not itself transfer money or replace any agreement required between the parties.
5. Orders, shipping, returns, and disputes
Buyers and sellers must provide accurate fulfilment information and update shipment status truthfully. Orders, returns, and disputes follow the recorded workflow. The platform may review evidence and restrict activity, but does not guarantee delivery, condition, authenticity, refunds, or recovery of an off-platform payment. Because checkout and payouts are not enabled in this release, do not treat an order as proof that payment was made.
6. Conduct and prohibited use
Do not list counterfeit, stolen, prohibited, unsafe, unlawful, or misleading goods; manipulate auctions or offers; submit fake reports; share another collector's private information; upload content without permission; scrape or attack the service; evade a suspension; or use the platform for unlawful activity. Do not submit credentials, payment details, identity documents, or other sensitive information in listing photos or public fields.
7. User content and licence
You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant Hot Wheels Market a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, resize, transform, display, moderate, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote the marketplace. You represent that you have the rights needed for this licence. We may remove content that violates these terms or creates a safety, legal, or trust risk.
8. Suspension, deletion, and records
We may limit, suspend, or close an account and cancel related activity when necessary for safety, fraud prevention, moderation, disputes, legal obligations, or a material breach. You may request account deletion through the product. Deletion may remove or anonymise profile credentials while retaining transaction, audit, moderation, and price-history records needed to preserve marketplace integrity or resolve disputes.
9. Price observations and third-party marks
Price observations and market summaries are informational, may be sparse or inaccurate, and are not financial advice or a guarantee of value. Hot Wheels, Mattel, and other third-party marks belong to their respective owners. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Hot Wheels Market is independent and is not sponsored, endorsed, or operated by Mattel or Hot Wheels.
10. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided on an as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Hot Wheels Market disclaims warranties that the service, catalogue, listings, user content, price data, or delivery information will be complete, accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for disputes between users, lost or damaged items, unauthorised off-platform payments, or losses arising from reliance on community price data. Nothing in these terms excludes a liability or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Changes and contact
These terms may be updated as the private beta evolves. The effective date on this page identifies the current version; continued use after an update means acceptance where permitted by law. The operator's legal name, support contact, privacy contact, and governing-law details must be published with the public launch materials before the service opens to general public traffic.
